The Story Behind the Brand

    Tribute to Angelo

Angelo – Italian designer and dear friend

Some logos are designed.Others are born from friendship, from vision, from light meeting shadow.

The logo for the Last Hour Experience was first created in 2017 by Angelo, an Italian designer and dear friend.

    He didn't just design a logo.He captured a philosophy.

The early version, in purple and gold, symbolized transformation and the line between life and death.Over time, the meaning evolved.Less about dying, more about truly living.

In late 2021, when I invited him to reimagine the brand, its rebirth began. The crocus, a symbol of hope, transformed into the lotus, a symbol of awakening.Purple turned into green, the color of life.

And the once-abstract V-shape evolved into a more human form.A shadow rising, illuminated by the light behind it.

We created the logo together as pure synergy: neither of us could have done it alone.

Angelo and I were very different. His fiery Italian passion sometimes collided with my unfiltered Dutch directness and obsession with detail. There were moments of tension, but always followed by laughter, respect, and deeper understanding.

That creative friction shaped what we built together: something raw, honest, and alive.

Angelo's name means angel.Look closely and you'll see a subtle halo behind the figure.A quiet nod to him, to light, to transcendence.

In 2024 he passed away unexpectedly.A day before his death we still exchanged messages on Telegram.

My final words to him were simple: "Thanks bro! 💞"

I didn't know it would be our last conversation, but I'm grateful those were my last words.

A lesson that has stayed with me ever since: Make peace while you still can.Leave nothing unspoken. Not anger, not gratitude, not love.

His work, and his friendship, live on in every curve and contour of this logo.A reminder that even in the presence of loss, something meaningful can endure.

    Last Hour Experience.

    What Matters Remains.

Designed by Angelo, reborn in gratitude.

    What Matters Remains

    What Matters Remains

In 2026, What Matters Remains became the new tagline of Last Hour Experience.

Because what truly matters rarely disappears.

    It changes form.

It moves from the world around you to somewhere within.

Someone who once walked beside you becomes part of who you are.

    Presence becomes memory.

    Memory becomes gratitude.

    Love changes place.

What once lived outside you finds a home within.

    What remains moves with you.

    Through age.

    Through loss.

    Through the person you become.

At one stage, it may be the thing you keep postponing.

At another, the person you forgot to call.

Later, it may become legacy, gratitude, or the quiet knowing of what was real all along.

This is what the experience points toward.

What remains when the noise falls away.

    Life becomes less crowded.

    More honest.

    Some things fade.

    Some things loosen their grip.

    Some things finally become clear.

    The hour ends.

    What Matters Remains.

    Symbolism

The figure designed by Angelo in November 2021 embodies the shadow rising into light. The eternal dance between farewell and beginning, between holding on and letting go.

It reflects Jung's vision of the shadow: the parts we tend to hide, but that come alive when we dare to truly see them.

In this meeting of darkness and awareness, something shifts. What was once buried begins to breathe again. No longer feared, but acknowledged.

The silhouette stands grounded in darkness, open to the infinite sky.A soul caught between past and possibility.

The faint green wings unfolding behind it whisper of renewal: of courage, honesty, and the freedom that appears the moment we stop running from ourselves.

For when we turn toward our shadow, we don't fall into darkness. We awaken to life itself.
